Video Competition

Just Film and the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture are launching the video competition ‘Once upon a time in our village…’ which will shine the spotlight on rural life.

Summer might be over, but life in the countryside goes on. So whatever’s happening outside of the city, get filming and you could win a brand new tablet!

To take part, produce a film lasting no more than 5 minutes and upload it to YouTube. Next, e-mail the link to the film to Don’t forget to add your name, age, phone number and e-mail address.

Links can be submitted until 10 November 2013.

In addition the winning film selected by the jury, there will also be an audience favourite. Both winners will be announced at the Just Film festival on 23 November.

Everyone aged from 7-19 is welcome to take part.


Terms and conditions

  • The competition is open to anyone aged 7-19.
  • The competition is being run by the Just Film festival in association with the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture.
  • The competition launch date is 30 August 2013. The closing date for entries is 10 November 2013.
  • Video files must be uploaded to YouTube and links to the videos e-mailed (along with your name, age, phone number and e-mail address) to
  • The winners will be announced at the Just Film festival on 23 November 2013.
  • Entries must be submitted by one person. One person may submit multiple entries. Links must be provided separately for each entry.
  • The videos must be no more than 5 minutes long. Files can be any size.
  • The jury reserves the right not to judge videos which do not meet the requirements set out in these terms and conditions.
  • Each video can only be submitted once. Once submitted, entries cannot be amended.
  • The winner will be selected by the jury. The audience’s favourite will be determined on the basis of a public vote.
  • The names of the winners will be made public on the Just Film website ( and Facebook page. The winners will be contacted by phone or e-mail.
  • The organiser of the competition reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
